Renowned Holocaust Survivor, Ben Lesser, to Speak at LA High

Thursday, May 11, 2017 – 1:00-3:00 pm in the Corwin Theater at LA High

Highly sought-after public speaker, holocaust survivor and founder of the ZACHOR Holocaust Remembrance Foundation  , Ben Lesser, will speak to students of Los Angeles High School on Thursday May 11.  In order to continue Holocaust education to schools and other communities, in 2009 Mr. Lesser started the ZACHOR Foundation (“ZACHOR” means REMEMBER). It was then he wrote his first memoir “Living a Life That Matters: From Nazi Nightmare to American Dream,” with recent audiobook release with narrator actor Jonathan Silverman.  He was also featured in a documentary “The Liberators: Why We Fought”, that was done by The History Channel, Germany. The 55-minute film will be screened at LA High before Mr. Lesser’s presentation about his experiences during the months before liberation from Dachau. He will also speak about “Living a Life That Matters”, and how each student has control of his or her life and how they can choose to make a difference in this world.
